Francisco Alguacil, a.k.a. m o n o c u l t i v o, uses self built sound artefacts, field recordings and experimental microphones to improvise subjective soundscapes.
This particular performance was built around the idea of "social distancing" and the subsequent reduction of physical contact it has meant, resulting in isolation and loneliness. Contact microphones are thus used to generate sound by caressing the performer's skin, amplifying the vibrations of his voice and producing feedback so that by touching and amplifying his own body there is some sort of physical contact with the audience through sound.

Recorded live @ Teatro Regio in Villanueva del Arzobispo, Spain, during the DESCARGA SONORA festival. 21-08-2021.
